Our mission is to raise money for the thousands of disadvantaged children in Northern Ireland who are counting on our support. Funds raised will directly benefit children and young people aged 0-17 with a focus on alleviating disability, combating illness, improving quality of life as well as encouraging personal development and aspirational fulfilment.
We have tuned into our listeners and are hearing all about different causes throughout Northern Ireland that are in need of our assistance and it is our mission to give them a helping hand.
All funds will be distributed to provide relief from illness, disability or disadvantage among children between 0-17 living in Northern Ireland and to assist in promoting the social, physical and mental wellbeing of young people who reside within the transmission area of Downtown Radio and 97.4 Cool FM.
APPLYING FOR A GRANT
All money raised through community fundraising will be paid into Downtown Radio and 97.4 Cool FM's Cash for Kids.
Cash for Kids is welcomes grant applications from a variety of projects and appeals, both individuals and organisations are invited to write in and tell us of the projects which need our support. We have had an overwhelming response to our requests for applications and are doing our best to fundraise to bring in as much money as possible to distribute.
1) Funding must be for the benefit of children under the age of 18
2) The child or children must reside in Northern Ireland
3) The child or children must be show to be disadvantage in some way.
4) Applications for individuals must be supported with a letter on headed paper from a teacher, care worker, occupational therapist or similar.
5) Applications for groups, organisations or charities must identify the need for a specific project or piece of equipment.
6) Cash for Kids does NOT fund salaries, expenses or running costs.
7) Moving forward grants awarded will not usually exceed £3,000
